Novel Piperidine and 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrrole Alkaloids from Tilia platyphyllos and Tilia cordata Flowers

Abstract
Lime flowers (Tilia cordata and T. platyphyllos), used traditionally for common cold and mental stress, were investigated phytochemically and six new alkaloids (tiliines, tiliamines, tilacetines) were isolated and characterised, including from hot-water extracts used in traditional medicine.
