Abstract

Shoot, root and callus cultures of Scrophularia nodosa were established and the iridoid glycosides harpagoside, aucubin and catalpol identified and quantified by LC-ESI-MS and HPLC. Harpagoside was highest in leaves of field plants (1.05%) and flowers of in vitro plantlets (1.10%); aucubin was highest in leaves of in vitro plantlets.
