Bioactive Compounds and Antioxidant Activity in the Fruit of Rosehip (Rosa canina L. and Rosa rubiginosa L.)

Abstract
Rosehip fruits of Rosa canina and Rosa rubiginosa from southern Chile were analysed, revealing a high content of bioactive compounds (ascorbic acid, flavonols, catechin) and antioxidant activity, with antioxidant capacity primarily associated with Rosa canina samples.
