Centella asiatica in dermatology: an overview

Abstract
This overview summarises in vitro and in vivo evidence that Centella asiatica and its triterpenes (asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic and madecassic acid) improve the healing of small wounds, hypertrophic scars and burns, supporting the vulnerary use of gotu kola.
