Abstract
This narrative review of corn silk (Zea mays stigma) summarises its phytochemistry (flavonoids, phenolic acids, polysaccharides) and biological activities including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, hypoglycaemic and hepatoprotective effects, reflecting its long history of medicinal use.
