Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) Extracts Comparative Analysis Regarding Their Phytonutrient Profiles, Antioxidant Capacity along with the In Vivo Rescue Effects Tested on a Drosophila melanogaster High-Sugar Diet Model
Abstract
Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) extracts rich in flavonoids and polyphenols showed strong antioxidant activity and, in a Drosophila high-sugar-diet model, halved hemolymph trehalose and produced gene-expression rescues relevant to metabolic syndrome.
