Abstract
This review summarises the evidence that holy basil (Ocimum sanctum/tenuiflorum) and its phytochemicals (eugenol, rosmarinic acid, apigenin, luteolin) have chemopreventive and anticancer effects, complementing the herb's antioxidant and immunomodulatory activities.
